IRTEC is an internationally recognised qualification that certifies the skills and knowledge of technicians in the road transport industry.
What is IRTEC?
The IRTEC accreditation process involves rigorous assessments that cover both theoretical and practical aspects of vehicle maintenance.
By achieving IRTEC certification, technicians demonstrate their commitment to high standards of workmanship and continuous professional development, contributing to safer and more reliable transport services.
What Does It Involve?
The assessment is carried out over a day based on how many technicians are being assessed. A maximum of 3 technicians can be assessed in one day.
The assessment forms 2 parts Online Theorical Test Practical Assessment. The assessment day will begin with a presentation from our assessors on what will be expected from your technicians.
This will include a short presentation with examples of a good and bad scenario for technicians to consider. On successful completion of the assessment the technicians IRTEC qualification will be valid for 5 years and will be required to resit the assessment after that time.
