Private Light Goods Vehicle Training
Designed to assist Independent and Retailer Technicians to achieve a first time diagnostic repair.
N.B. All of the courses listed are aimed at Level 2 to Master Technician.
Courses can be delivered to bespoke requirements and can be delivered both on and offsite.
Engine Management Systems (Petrol & Diesel)
This course covers all aspects of diesel and petrol engines including:
- Low- and High-Pressure Fuel Systems (Pump and Injectors Testing)
- Ignition Systems Operation and Testing (Petrol)
- Sensor Operation and Testing
- Induction systems and Emissions Systems.
Network Communications*
This course looks at the operation and testing of the available communication networks used on modern vehicles including:
- Controller Area Network
- FlexRay
- SENT
- LINBus
Basic and Advanced Electrical Testing*
This course provides an in depth understanding of electrical systems including correct use of test equipment.
The Basic course is aimed at technicians with little to no electrical experience.
The
Advanced course is for technicians who wish to improve on their current skill level.
Oscilloscope Diagnostics *
With modern vehicles using advanced control and communication methods the technician must now rely on diagnostic equipment that can allow them to view the signals "live" as they happen.
This course provides the skills to set up and use the oscilloscope and recognise the difference between a good and bad known signal.
Servicing and Maintenance
Aimed at the novice technician who is new or just starting their career in the automotive industry.
This course will teach you the skills and knowledge to perform service and maintenance to a high standard showing the correct methods of testing.
Electric Vehicle Level 2 and 3 *
The level 2/3 EV course is an IMI recognised qualification that allows the technician to safely work on an EV vehicle. The successful candidate will be qualified to power down the high voltage system and remove/replace a high voltage component.
This course will provide the learner with the opportunity to identify the difference between different types of EV vehicles and the components fitted.
F Gas Handling
This IMI recognised qualification is required by all technicians who perform air conditioning servicing using the R134a gas.
The qualification provides the technician with the knowledge and skills to safely use the gas understanding the impact the R134a gas has on the environment.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) operation and diagnosis (Passenger)
The course is designed to provide an overview of the operation of the SCR systems and provide technicians with the ability to test components.
The course will share good and bad known ‘"live data’" results from different manufacturers.
Diagnostic Training
Provide your technicians with the skills and knowledge to identify vehicle issues quickly using a proven diagnostic process. This process will give the technicians a step by step guide to follow that will allow them to identify the correct tools, information and skills required to pinpoint a fault without fitting unnecessary parts ensuring a first time fix in a timely manner.
